The innovative underwriting approach further demonstrates the company’s continuous commitment to empowering people to live better lives, addressing the protection gap of individuals who are facing difficulties in obtaining medical coverage.

According to the official statistics, one in 10 Hong Kong people has Diabetes[1] . Moreover, over 330,000 people in Hong Kong suffer from Asthma[2] and around 13% of blood donors exhibit symptoms of Anaemia[3] .

In the current market practice, customers diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus type 2, Asthma or Anaemia either had applications rejected or the disease listed as an exclusion, creating a huge protection gap. With AXA Hong Kong’s revolutionary change in underwriting approach, customers have the chance to apply for medical protection[4] .
