AXA Hong Kong empowers people to live a better life through the annual Corporate Responsibility Week

AXA Hong Kong completed its annual Corporate Responsibility Week (CR Week) from 5 to 11 June 2017 under the theme “Healthy Mind, Happy Life”, raising awareness and advocating the importance of mental wellness amongst its staff and the community. The campaign reinforces the company’s commitment to protect its customers over the long term, but also to help build a more sustainable society.

Ms. Andrea Wong, Chief Corporate Responsibility Officer of AXA Hong Kong, said, “Empowering people to live a better life is AXA’s noble mission. We strive to promote healthier and better lives through various kinds of education and engagement programme. The annual CR Week provides a great opportunity for us to focus on our mental wellness amid the hustle and bustle of everyday life, while encouraging our employees and the public to pursue an all-round healthy lifestyle. We will continue to protect people over the long term and build a better society in the aspects of Health, Environment and Community.”

During the CR Week, AXA Hong Kong employees participated in a series of wellness programmes, including a Mindfulness Workshop and a Pranayama and Meditation Class, where they learnt how to instill positive energy with peaceful minds through practising breathing skills and exercises.

The CR Week was successfully concluded with the “Happy Ageing” volunteering activity, which aimed to promote mental health awareness of senior citizens in the local community. AXA Action Team, the staff volunteer team, partnered with YWCA and spent an enjoyable weekend with senior citizens making DIY bonsai and practising laughter yoga, reiterating the company’s belief in ageing with better quality of life.

The CR week is a global initiative launched by the AXA Group in 2011. Every year, AXA empowers all employees around the world to act upon corporate responsibility as part of their day-to-day life through risk research, education and prevention.
