15/F, Cyberport 2, 100 Cyberport Road, Hong Kong

The Hackathon will be conducted in English officially. However, please keep in mind that there may be participants who speak English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and other languages at the event.

You can either sign up for the event as an individual or as a team. If you are signing up as an individual, we will help you to form your team after you submit your application.

If you would like to participate as a team, please fill in separate applications for each team mate, put down an identical team name, and the number of people in your team. If you do not put down an identical team name, we cannot guarantee that you will be placed together in the same team. If anyone from your team chooses to drop out from the Hackathon, we will re-evaluate your team application.

For team applications, we may pair you up with other participants if you do not have enough members in your team. For instance, if you only have 3 team members, we may team you up with 2 more participants to make a team of 5, we will inform you of any changes to your team prior to the event.

No. Since we hand pick each participant, we do not accept transfer of registration. Please make sure that the name you use to register for the event is EXACTLY the same as that in a valid government-issued ID document (HKID card, passport issued by a foreign government body, etc.)

We reserve the right to refuse entry if we do not find your name on our registration list that exactly matches your name shown on your ID document.

We go through a selection process for every application. We accept registrations on a rolling basis. After registering for the event, you will receive an acceptance or a rejection email within 2 weeks. The acceptance/rejection email is going to be sent out by the event host but not an auto-generated email by Eventbrite.

Unless the relevant registration information directly impacts your role in the Hackathon, e.g. role in team (UI/UX designer, business user, medical talent, etc.), we would advise you not to do so.

Please bring a laptop with you, so that you can develop your deck and build prototypes. Also, we strongly advise you to bring your own water bottle, laptop charger and mobile charger, warm clothing (for air conditioning), and your ID card for identity verification purposes.

We would advise you to stay for all of the days of the event. You will be divided into teams to build your solution and mentored by seasoned professionals. The Hackathon is a very action-packed event, hence, we would request you to be at the venue throughout the duration of the event.
