- If the insured passes away on or before the policy anniversary on or immediately following the insured’s 65th birthday, apart from the death benefit of 100% of the sum insured, an additional death benefit of 100% of the sum insured will be paid.
- The amount of premium refund varies depending on when the premium refund becomes payable.
- The age mentioned refers to the policy anniversary on (if the policy anniversary falls on the same month and day as the insured’s birthday) or immediately following (if the policy anniversary does not fall on the same month and day as the insured’s birthday) the insured’s relevant birthday, as the case may be.
- If the insured is diagnosed with a permanent disability on or before the policy anniversary on or immediately following the insured’s 65th birthday, 50% of the sum insured will be paid in advance. This benefit can be claimed once only. Once this benefit is paid, the sum insured should be reduced by 50% and premiums payable will be reduced accordingly, and the calculation of the adjusted premium is based on the reduced sum insured. If this benefit is not payable on or before the policy anniversary on or immediately following the insured’s 65th birthday, this benefit will automatically cease and terminate.
- Eligibility for the plan is restricted to working individuals. For avoidance of doubt, ineligible categories include, but are not limited to retirees, housepersons, students, juveniles , part-time employees and unemployed persons.
