Update of Definition and Benefit Enhancement
Starting from July 31, 2023, the definition of "Certified Plan" under Part 8 of the Terms and Conditions in “Smart Medicare” policy will be refined in accordance with the latest recommendations from the Health Bureau. Additionally, the benefit of “Outpatient kidney dialysis” under Section (1)(I) of the Enhanced Benefits And Other Benefits Endorsement will also be enhanced. The Voluntary Health Insurance Scheme (VHIS) certification number for “Smart Medicare” will also be updated on the same date. The relevant notifications with endorsements will be sent to all existing policyholders of “Smart Medicare” policies from June 30 to July 30, 2023.
