  • Claims assessment under both the new SCI definitions and the policy’s existing critical illness definitions5

Standardised critical illness definitions are a set of unified critical illness definition standards promoted by the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers, covering 21 common critical illnesses and relevant criteria for Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). The aim is to enhance the transparency and consistency of critical illness coverage and to reduce misunderstandings that may arise from different insurers adopting different definitions of critical illnesses.
